I was eyeing this colour from the day that it launched, but I never prioritized purchasing it, as I am not a big red lip wearer. However, with the holidays coming up, I decided to get this shade and I am very happy with my choice! The True Velvet texture is so special, it makes your lips look amazing even if you have some dry patches. I tried many other lipsticks and I ca confidently say this texture beats them all. Velvet Dragon gives an amazing colour pay off and I love how versatile it is. You can build the colour up or get amazing coverage in just one swipe, it's up to you.

I love velvet ribbon, apart from it being the perfect classic red, it has a long lasting formula which is comfortable, not an easy thing to achieve. I also love the packaging and the velvet texture on the bullet. I love it so much I have one for my personal collection and one for my professional kit 💋

For many years I have been avoiding matte lipsticks as all of them seemed to dry my lips, even after being very careful and cautious with my lip care. This one has amazed me with a truly lightweight and smooth formula. It still requires a good lip prep, as my lips have a tendency to dry out quickly, but the comfort of wearing this lipstick is like nothing I’ve ever experienced before. Truly a well formulated product.
As for color (velvet cinnabar) - it’s my perfect red. I have always felt weird wearing red lipstick as all reds felt too strong and too vibrant. Velvet cinnabar is vibrant yet muted enough that I can still wear it as a statement lip and not feel like it overwhelms my features.

I have always been a lover of lipstick but have been locked in a battle with red lipstick since the early 2000s - just when I think I’ve found the perfect shade, I discover that in the wrong lighting the colour looks off, or that the formulation isn’t delicious after all, but just the novelty of a new purchase. With Velvet Jazz however, I have finally won! The formulation is a dream - smooth as melting chocolate folding into idyllic layers - and there is nothing to say about the shade other than that it is perfection itself. I have other lipsticks from the Velvet collection and they’re all stunning, but Velvet Jazz has to be my favourite.
