I purchased Velvet Jazz when it first launched and immediately fell in love with the heavy gold packaging, satisfying magnetic close, and subtle velvet-like imprint. The soft matte formula is comfortable, can be worn both sheer and with liner at full opacity and fades without becoming patchy, feathering or emphasizing lip lines.
The best part, however, is the color - Jazz is a deeper red with a neutral undertone that, unlike most red shades, doesn't pull pink or orange on my very fair, cool toned skin. I had almost given up on finding a red that made me feel confident rather than clownish and although nervous about buying a new brand's first product sight unseen, I couldn't be happier with Jazz or any of the other Lisa Eldridge lip products I've since purchased.
Lisa definitely knows how to create amazing products and these rival, or beat, lipsticks I own from Gucci, Tom Ford, YSL, Givenchy, Dior and Guerlain in both formula and packaging. As a small young-ish brand that's also very popular, new products can sell out instantly and not restock for many months and until recently, it could take a year or more for each new collection to launch but all throughout, customer service is always helpful and quick to respond and my orders have always arrived, securely packaged, less than a week after ordering. I've purchased multiple Velvet matte and Luxuriously Lucent lipsticks, Glosses, lip liners and two palettes and recommend all without hesitation.
