I really miss this lipstick whenever I run out of it. It is the perfect "red" for me. I think the olive in my skin transforms its color in something very similar to a red and I love it for the evening or cold grey days. It is so uplifitng.

I wanted to leave a review for Velvet Rain because there weren't so many when I was researching the options. I went out on a limb and I absolutely love the colour! I wore it with a dress that is tomato red and has splashes of other colours in it, including vibrant pink. This was just perfect: the shade worked with it, the intensity was not shouty, but it was strong enough to hold its own.
I have very fair skin, dark eyes and dark hair, but not particularly thick eyelashes nor naturally high contrast in my face. This is really the perfect red for me.
As for the formulation, I found it dry on my (naturally dry) lips, but putting some lipbalm on first and then applying the Velvet Rain worked very well. On an everyday basis though I have learnt that the Rouge Experience works better for me.

FINALLY! A true blue-based perfect red lipstick. I am fine with pink undertones. Finding shades with the right tone for me can be difficult, and most "works on everyone neutrals" look very muddy on me. This the perfect medium shade depth, and the formula is fabulous also. I live in high altitude, so makeup can naturally be very drying here, not this formula. I do need to remove it completely before reapplying.
