Product and Shade Description

The deepest, richest, most powerful burnt ochre warm brown red imaginable.

Inspired by the red mineral which has been used as a precious resource around the world since at least the 10th millennium BC. During ancient rituals and rites of passage it came to denote Blood, Victory, Success and even Immortality. In its various forms (including Vermillion) it has been used as an artists pigment and can be seen in the frescos of ancient Rome. It was also used extensively as a cosmetic, most famously by Queen Elizabeth the 1st to create an intensely dramatic and powerful effect on the lips and cheeks.

Saturated and highly pigmented lipstick with a beautiful, true velvet effect on the surface of the bullet which looks exactly like velvet. Creamy, hydrating, long-wearing and non-drying.

This Cruelty Free product is free from Parabens, Talc, Gluten, Fragrance, D6, and D5.

    I purchased this after seeing Lisa mentioning this to be one of her favorite products to be used as a blush. This is beautiful colour for that, but it looks gorgeous on my lips as well of course. I will get the matching lipliner in my next purchase, as I find it a bit challenging to achieve a neat look with this strong colour. I usually wear nudish colours only - but wanted to try something bold from her range, as they looked so beautiful! I want to lighter colours from the range and am torn apart between Muse and Fawn. I think I will reach out Lisa’s fantastic customer service team (they are the BEST, by the way).

    Gorgeous undertones!

    I really like the formula, but with this one it’s THE COLOR! I have a neautral-to-warm skin undertone and red hair, so I have a plethora of brick-colored lip products. Cinnabar is something else! It’s warm and red, but also has a tinge of purple in its depths and it just works! I love it.

    Incredible colour

    As all of Lisa's colors you cannot easily categorize it... it might be red, or warm red, with slight blue undertones and a bit of brown but still red, kinda dark orange but .... it is SPECTACULAR
