I've got Ribbon in the new formula and loved it so much I bought it in the Velvet and Velveteen.
It takes a little practice, those darker colors, but boy does it look good and lasts all day. I mostly use it as a base and top of with the Velvet or new refillable formula. I'm so in love with this red. It's the only red I will ever need, I even wear it when picking my kids up from school. Because,why not?

I am extremely picky when it comes to lip color, and this is the third time Lisa Eldridge has delivered. Her color and texture formulations are impeccable. I bought the Velveteen Lip Color in Blush and it’s perfect for when I need a wash of color but don’t want to blind anyone. It’s very pigmented, so I usually just apply a few dabs toward the center of my lips and blend outward for a “levres mordues” (French for “bitten lips”) look. It dresses up or down effortlessly. It’s completely blendable — so much so that I often use the leftover color on my fingers to add a little color below my browline, and it works like magic to wake up my face. Often it’s all I need for a casual day, but it goes great with a full face of makeup too. My favorite thing is that once it dries down, it doesn’t budge at all (as long as you aren’t wearing it with lip balm — it’s oil soluble). No smudges on your glass, nothing. This stuff is a holy grail.

Nice coverage for a liquid. A little goes a long way, so build up gradually! Nice colour that would work well with most skin tones.
