Most refills are made with multiple materials, plastics or magnets, as they are much easier to produce. But, ultimately, this renders them non-recyclable. So, it took years of perseverance from Lisa (and a self-confessed stubborn streak!) to create Rouge Experience, with a case made entirely of aluminium for a truly recyclable, refillable lipstick.
The golden casing is made entirely of aluminium. Strong and pleasingly sturdy, it’s inspired by Lisa’s vintage makeup collection; a treasure trove of beauty artifacts, some centuries old, that have stood the test of time.
In terms of payoff and finish, Rouge Experience sits somewhere between the semi-sheerness of Luxuriously Lucent Lip Colour and the pigmented intensity of True Velvet. It has a soft, subtly luminous sheen with a lip-smoothing blur.

I have a drawer full of bullet lipsticks from across the spectrum but nothing compares to the quality of this one. You definitely get what you pay for with these lipsticks. I like that it’s refillable too, it would be heartbreaking to say goodbye to the luxurious feel and weight.

Elegant product with a slight weight to it. Agree with other comments the cap snaps on, but not tightly. The color I purchased looks great on me and feels creamy. I like the ridges design.
