I loved this shade from the moment I saw it. However, I was hesitant when it came to ordering it, only because I wore similar shades when I was younger, and I wasn't sure if I could pull off such a look anymore.

I went to the NYC pop up on my birthday in August to have my makeup done, and with the artist, we wound up choosing the Betty palette, and the Lilac Time pencil for my eye look. It turned out to be the most STUNNING combination, and if I do say so myself, I can't remember the last time I wore such a flattering look. The pencil in particular made my blue-green hazel eyes really pop, yet it didn't look like I was wearing my kid sister's makeup. I already have Betty, but of course, Lilac Time came home with me, without hesitation! I've recreated my birthday makeup look a few times since then, and I've also worn Lilac Time on het own a number of times too. It's a bit of an unexpected color (especially when compared to the other eye pencil shades in Lisa's line), but it's so very fun, flattering, and beautiful.

Don't shy away from a more vibrant shade like Lilac Time...definitely give her a try!

Yellow golds have never really worked for me; in terms of metallics, I've usually stuck with silver, rose gold, bronze, and copper. When I saw this gold pencil, however, I knew it would be perfect for me, and it is! It's more of an antiqued, 'dirty' gold, and reminds me very much of the "Selene" shade in the Liquid Lurex eye shadows. It makes my blue-green hazel eyes really pop, and it's complementary with my fair olive skin tone too. It's great for when I want a lot of impact, but either don't have a lot of time, or just want to keep things simple. I've finally found a gold shade that works for me, and it's become a major part of my evening looks. I love it!
