I dismissed the Betty palette during its first release for not having any mattes, then came to regret it. I had the Vega palette and use it constantly, but wished I had something else with more 'oomph' to compliment it when I was in the mood. I POUNCED (pun intended) on the Betty palette on its re-stock! And not only does it complement the Vega palette, but I can get a variety of looks with the Betty alone. I get daytime one-and-done looks; subtle, elegant evening looks; and festive party looks. It also makes me happy just looking at it.

I bought the Betty palette on a whim a few weeks ago and I am OBSESSED. I love that the colors can provide a pretty wash of color for everyday wear, which can be builded upon to create a more dramatic look. As others noted, the texture of the powder is a wonderful buttery consistency which doesn't flake or crease and has some serious staying power.

The palette, while a departure from my usual makeup routine, which is pretty minimal, is shockingly versatile. I have been able to wear the lavender queen shade to my office job and still look professional and not overly done up. Probably the best part of this palette is that it's refillable; minimizing waste, where other clean brands inexplicably fall short. (Looking at you Ilia Necessary Palette!)

I am so pleased that I have since ordered the Fawn palette.
