Some pieces of makeup history are so extraordinary they stop you in your tracks, and this is one of them. In my latest video, I'm sharing the story of a lipstick I acquired that was once owned by Marilyn Monroe, and the obsessive, months-long journey I went on trying to identify exactly what it is.

As a makeup artist, historian, and vintage beauty collector with over 30 years of experience, I've handled some remarkable pieces, but this one is different. The shade, the formula, the provenance - everything about it raised questions I couldn't let go of. And if you know me, you'll know I don't rest until I have answers.

In this video I dive deep into vintage lipstick formulations, Hollywood glamour-era cosmetics, and the fascinating world of mid-century beauty, uncovering clues along the way that even I didn't expect to find.
