London Fashion Week A/W14 - GRACE

17 Feb 2014 - Share →

My first show this fashion week was the debut collection of GRACE at the baroquely elegant grill room of the Cafe Royal Hotel.  The launch collection consisted entirely of black dresses and some really great girls including Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Suki Waterhouse and Sam Rollinson to show them off to perfection. The make-up look of the night, was pared down luxury - a modern take on a chic red lip.

Here's how I did the make-up.

Skin

My foundation of choice for this show was Chanel's Vitalumiere Aqua as I wanted skin to look polished but very natural.

Tom Ford's Shade and Illuminate palette was then used to subtly contour.
I applied my current favourite highlighter, Lancome's Eclat Miracle to cheekbones, top lip and corner of the eyes.  I like it because it's not overly shiny and blends seamlessly into the skin.

Eyes

Eyes were gently shaded to look defined but not as though they were wearing eyeshadow.  Depending on the girls skin tone, different natural shades and tones were used.

Eyeko were sponsoring the make-up for the show and I was very happy to try out some of their brand new, yet to be released products.  Starting with brows, I used their new Liquid Brow Pen which is perfectly subtle and long lasting. Great for filling in any gaps and enhancing natural brows. Launching end of April.

Lashes were curled and a coat of Black Magic Mascara slicked through upper lashes only.  I then applied Eyeko's new corner false lashes which are really easy and fool proof to apply and give a really pretty, natural elongated look to the eye.  There are two types to choose from in their new 'Lash Wardrobe' (see pic below). Launching end of April.

Lips

For lips, I used Mac's Ruby Woo to stain and then added darker red shades on the top to create a lived in feel. Finally blotting to a stained, slightly worn off effect,  no lip pencil was used to keep the edges soft.

Minimal products, maximum effect - just the way I like it!

Whats you favourite minimum product, maximum effect look?
