Three Natural Mascaras I've Tried and Like
Natural brands are gaining more and more popularity, and I’m often asked for more natural suggestions for popular makeup items. Products that are marketed as natural are usually formulated without common chemical ingredients like parabens, phthalates and sulfates, and are often certified organic. Whilst I find it hard to find really good natural foundations (as they just don’t have the range of colours I need for my pro kit), I do find that natural and organic mascaras can be fantastic.
#FlawlessFriday Five of the Best Waterproof Blues
I love blue liner, and the flash of colour is one of the easiest ways to add brights into your makeup wardrobe. Recently I've been noticing lots of great blue pencils, with (genuinely - I've tested them all) waterproof formulas. Here are five of the best...
New York Beauty Spree!
If you follow me on Instagram you might have seen that I was in New York recently to be a keynote speaker at IMATS (International Makeup Artist Tradeshow). It was great to meet so many other artists and chat makeup all day. Naturally I also used the trip as an opportunity to stock up on some of my Stateside beauty favourites, as well a few new things I’ve been meaning to try. My shopping trip took me from strictly pro, to department store to drugstore...
When a Trend Trickles Up... Testing the (Luxury) Waters
When it comes to makeup and skincare trends, like fashion, trends that start with the premium houses often trickle down to the high street (think sheet masks, cleansing oils etc). But recently I've noticed a skincare trend that's moving in the other direction - a product that began its life decades ago in the humble French pharmacy is making its way up and up to the most luxury of brands (even Crème de la Mer is launching one this July)… micellar water.

Come say hi on Instagram.
Tutorial with a twist! As a previous Creative Director of Japanese makeup brand Shiseido, and current Global Creative Director of Lancôme, I get a lot of insider knowledge and data about makeup trends and consumer behaviour from around the world. I thought this film would be a little bit of fun to compare some of the popular makeup trends from across the globe. I hope you like it! X
Embrace the Zing! My Favourite Orange Lipsticks
When I posted last week's #FlawlessFriday, with my pro tips and tricks for long-lasting lipstick (if you didn't catch it, read it here), a few of you asked me about the orange lipstick in the image above. I had to have a look back as I couldn't recall what I'd used (a combination of Tokyo and New York jet lag!), then remembered it was MAC Lipstick in Morange, a gorgeous, full-blast orange, really creamy and pigmented, that makes a brilliantly bold colour statement - although you can blot it down to more of a tint/stain if you prefer a less intense finish.
#Giveaway - Your Chance to Own an Exclusive, Money-Can't-Buy House of Eldridge Candle
When I’m not on shoots or working in Paris for Lancôme, I love nothing better than hanging out at my studio, the #houseofeldridge. I’ve filled the space with beautiful chairs, reference books, printed rugs and a mixture of modern and great 20th century vintage furniture, as well as cool finds and souvenirs that I’ve picked up on my travels. I’ve also got drawers full of vintage makeup and a beautiful old cabinet that houses my Biba collection, which I started about 20 years ago (I’ve now got the world’s biggest collection!).
