A modern take on a 60's peachy look
This is a copy of a look I created for the beauty pages of UK Glamour recently. It was my favourite look in the story and as it was so simple and relatively quick, (and I've had lots of requests from people asking me how to achieve it) I thought it would make a good tutorial.
The highlight is definitely the lip colour. It's not the easiest colour to wear so you can dupe this with a similar but gentler alternative and still achieve a really good result if you like. The overall look of the make-up is peachy soft and flirty. The spirit was definitely a little bit Catherine Deneuve, but done in a modern way. If you are good with your hair try to team it with a style similar to the one the model is wearing and you will be transported back to the era.

This style is definatly my favourite, both to wear on me and to apply on somebody else, i love the way you did it!!! i have one thing to add though, i would still sculpt the cheekbone a little. I have oval face with round cheeks [not like your fabulous cheekbones] so i guess you understand my objection.
elliganzweitweg - Wednesday 25th Aug 2010 11:24pm
do u think i can also wear peachy lipstick even though i'm really pale? pale and pastel colours always make me look dead and boring. i love the peachy lip and would love it even more if i could pull it off. i know, its a stupid question cos u dont know what i look like. thanks anyway for your great tutorials.

Hi Lisa, I got myself the mymix foundation also, in fair 02 and it's beautiful. I had been thinking about trying it for a while and after hearing your comments on it I just went out and bought it (Boots in Belfast, Northern Ireland stock the mymix range). The blushes, lipsticks and glosses are also beautiful. Thank you for this video x

I loved the makeup in these pages, i tried to create some myself... i did the blue under the lower lash line, and the girl who was wearing leopard print and had a pony tail, with lots of lashes.. Love watching your videos, im so happy iv got to find out what products you used in that picture. Really like the lipstick, think i might have to get it... help with appying the individual lashes would be great, mine were ok for my first time but could be much better. Thanks again xx
mqs7524 - Tuesday 23rd Feb 2010 9:46pm
Beautiful! Goes so well with your nail color. BTW, that ring is fantastic! Do you know where I can get it? Tnx a bunch. :-)
TheSukiebapswent - Tuesday 23rd Feb 2010 9:44pm
I have a major problem when I apply mascara, I always manage to get some on my upper eyelids, even though I hold my head right back ( ow my neck!!) is it the brush?? is there a better position to hold your head in? It really is a pain
TheSukiebapswent - Tuesday 23rd Feb 2010 9:42pm

MiZzDeeRoCkZ - Tuesday 23rd Feb 2010 4:36am

ChooLove09 - Monday 22nd Feb 2010 10:49pm
Gorgeous! I also liked the first look you did for that story, the one with the bluey/lavender colour under the eyes. I rarely do a strong lip but this is one I can definitely have a go at. This is another colour to add to the shopping list when my boyf goes to Brum tomorrow! Btw, you're definitely prettier than the model x
veedebee - Monday 22nd Feb 2010 10:42pm

lisaeldridgedotcom - Monday 22nd Feb 2010 9:45pm

lisaeldridgedotcom - Monday 22nd Feb 2010 9:29pm
@hlakram You're so right!! The last time I bought it they said it was being discontinued so I bought several. However I just checked their website and its still there??! I'm pleased because I love it. Thanks for the tip off x
mizzworthy - Monday 22nd Feb 2010 9:13pm
Lovely look Lisa - I have been using the trick of "massaging" the mascara wand at the roots, and it has a great look on the lashes - I think I need to carry on practicing though as I keep ending up with mascara on my upper lid! Fab vid as always!
jadoreXelle - Monday 22nd Feb 2010 9:10pm
what blush is that specifically? where can i get it?is it available in the us? i love it
hlakram - Monday 22nd Feb 2010 9:06pm

beautymusicfashion - Monday 22nd Feb 2010 8:53pm

adoringcarmine - Monday 22nd Feb 2010 8:49pm
can you reccomend a foundation for very, very light skin... an off white basically, thanks :)
stellarstrawberry19 - Monday 22nd Feb 2010 7:23pm
I do love a good statement lip. Perhaps it's worth considering blending some of the lip colour onto the cheek if that blusher is no longer available? -saves money to! :)

You are so beautiful! I am happy that you have decided to show us, beauty bloggers and gurus, your tips and tricks. It is sad that some professionals think they are better than girls who are not makeup artists and do makeup reviews, because we are just not qualified to say our opinion out there. You really give inspiration to us and thank you for that, Lisa!
bubblegarms - Monday 22nd Feb 2010 11:54am
Great video, I get so happy when I see you have made a video :) Love the look, very pretty! I loved all the beauty shots in Glamour, but that opening picture with the lilac /blue e/s was very special. Thanks for the video, you are a pleasure to watch! X

chinesechicken89 - Monday 22nd Feb 2010 7:44am
Thank you for the tutorial Lisa! We are so lucky to have a make up artist of your level here. This lip colour is absolutely fabulous! Do you think you could also do a look with an orange based lipstick?(like Hara from Napoleon Perdis, or Morange from MAC). I love it and am fairly brave with bright lip colours, but not sure how to make this one wearable. And also, can pale people pull it off? (I have pink undertones, but they're mostly neutralised with my yellow based foundation). Thank you!
