One Lipstick... Different Ways To Wear It
In this film, I use one gorgeous lipstick to show just how versatile this classic product can be. After a decade that saw many of us wearing mainly lip gloss, often with little colour, I am really happy that lipstick has been making a real comeback over the past few years. This video covers all the different ways to apply lipstick well, so that I will not only look great but also last.
Some of you may be thinking “this sounds familiar” and you’d be right as I did make a similar film about 18 months ago, which I absolutely loved but had to take down, as there were some technical problems. I decided to remake it as I felt it was such a good ‘tip heavy’ and useful one! I believe that with one great lipstick and a little know how you can achieve so many different looks and effects. One lipstick can really take you from day to night, work to party even if, as I demonstrate, it’s a very bold or bright shade.
I hope you enjoy watching and are inspired to try out some of the different techniques with your own lipsticks.
Gallery Update - Emma Watson for ELLE
Back in May I had the pleasure of working with the gorgeous and multi talented Emma Watson on this shoot for Elle magazine. I headed over to Paris for the shoot - always a treat in itself - and was thrilled to be working with the Elle team who are all fabulous and one of my favourite photographers, the talented and very funny Rankin. Elle really wanted to give Emma a different look to the one we know her best for. Romantic and soft along with red carpet glamour were strictly off the agenda, and make up, hair and clothes all had to be young, cool and fun!
When we arrived on set in the morning, we had a huge trying on session, with Emma picking out her favourites from a vast wardrobe of fabulous designer numbers. So much fun and surely every girl’s dream!
For the make up, I kept Emma’s skin very fresh, with lots of shimmery highlighter on her cheeks and some shading under her cheekbones. Lips were dressed in a natural stain and eyelids were super sheeny using eye gloss. Emma’s eyes were definitely the focal point of this look and I used layer upon layer of Lancome Hypnose Doll Eyes Mascara to make the lashes look as if they were almost dripping mascara. This way of doing lashes, despite being quite an editorial look, is great for adding a punky edge to any look. This was all topped of with strong, fierce eyebrows to give a graphic element.
I really loved her hair and nails for the shoot too and as for those black bunny ears...don't we all need a set of those?!!

Lisa Loves - June Is Busting Out All Over
The amazingly hot October weather we have been having here in the UK made me want to paint my nails with something warm and glowy. Enter the Chanel S/S 2012 polishes named after the months of spring. April, a wonderfully rich and luminous garnet, May a beautiful rose pink with delicate multicoloured pearl and June a creamy pastel apricot. I was immediately drawn to June (I'm wearing it in the pic) as its one of those shades that flatters many skin-tones. I’ve been wearing it this past week and have received a lot of compliments. Apparently the weather is turning very cold tomorrow but for now… I'm all about Junes future bloom.
Which is your favourite?
I've made a preview video of the Spring collection coming soon on Chanel Confidential
...look out for it! X
Red Carpet - Gabriella Wilde
Last night I made up the insanely gorgeous and very lovely Brit actress Gabriella Wilde for the world premiere of The Three Musketeers 3D. After doing a very natural look for the three days of press junket prior to the premiere we decided to glam things up considerably for the red carpet. Gabriella really is a natural beauty with skin most of us would die for! To compliment her deep red Gucci dress we worked a full on 70's glamour vibe for the hair and make-up. Purple and plum shadows with a touch of grown up glitter, pink blush and a two shades of red lip stain combined with very natural dewy skin to keep things looking modern and fresh.
Behind the Scenes at Matthew Williamson S/S 2012 show - with the winner of my competition!
I recently had a competition on here to win a ticket to the Matthew Williamson S/S 2012 show at the Tate Modern - courtesy of Suqqu, who sponsored the make-up for the show. The winner was also given a backstage pass to hang out with me and my fantastic team. This video gives a taster of what it was like for my winner, Jessica Nash. It also gives a feeling of what the atmosphere was like and a glimpse of what goes on behind the scenes. Matthew created an absolutely beautiful collection, hope you enjoy watching this!

Chic & Simple 5 Minute Make up
I had so many requests for a tutorial on this look after I wore it for the 'New French manicure' video (and more recently, the fashion week 'Giveaway'). The funny thing is, I was running so late that day, it's ironically one of the quickest and least thought-out looks I’ve ever done on myself! Very little technique and expert blending is needed so it’s good for everyone including make-up rookies! You can adapt the look by adding eyeliner to make it look more done or evening. With all the rosy blush, highlighter and shimmery eyes, Its a really nice skin boosting look too. Pretty for day or night when you need to look polished and pulled together in a jiffy! Hope you enjoy watching X
