Lipstick in the shape of a Cat? Yes Please!

Oh I practically squeeled for joy when I first clapped eyes are these babies. They are part of Paul and Joes 'Clair De Lune' collection which is released on the 6th August. It comprises three packaging styles which are all cute but for me the beautiful Swan design known as 'Paper Moon' is the most desirable.

The collection is made up of three pretty eyeshadow palettes, six waterproof eye pencils and, the piste de resistance, (drum role please)...Three CAT shaped lipsticks!!! I never thought I'd find a product that could satisfy my cosmetic AND cat obsessions in one hit. The closest I've come to this before is my 'Emily The Strange' black cat lip gloss palette (see pic) but this new find has upped the ante enormously.

I dont know if I could actually use the lipstick as the ears would surely go first which would be a tragedy, so I intend to collect all three for archiving purposes only. Yes I know they are more of a novelty than anything but they are FUN!

The timing of their arrival is perfect as its my cat, Betty's first birthday tomorrow. So Happy Birthday Betty!

What are your thoughts on cat shaped lipsticks?

It's so pretty I might find myself opting to behead the lipstick with my Swiss knife (and set the poor kitty aside) rather than smearing Mr.Miaowster across my lips haha. This is adorable...

@ Humaira Ha,I know what you mean x @Tara thats good to know, i havent really used their regular lipsticks before x @Princess_79ify Sorry to be unhelpful but I havent really used the rest of their make-up much before. The packaging has always been the big draw for me but its too impractical for my kit, more of a dressing table/personal make-up bag purchase. I do own several of their nail polishes which are good and Tara who commented here says their lipsticks are really nice. The brand concept is all about cute and fun but the quality seems fairly good too from my limited experience of it. Lisa x

Hi Lisa, Ive never tried Paul and Joe make up before so I'm very excited about visiting the counter to buy the entire Clair de lune range!! Are there any other products in the existing range you recommend I try while Im there? I don't know very much about the brand. Thanks! x

So cute! so far I am a fan of P & J lipsticks. The orange blossom scent is not overpowering and pleasant, and I find them comfortable and moisturizing. The packaging is so adorable.

When this collection comes out, where would it be sold. I’m an owner of 6 cats and Foster Care for a cat rescue charity. I would love to have a cat lipstick, I think my cats would love it too. My 49th birthday is Sunday. I will be thinking of Betty as I cut my cake. Purr Purr to Betty. Janet

So cute! I saw these on someone's blog a few weeks ago and squealed!! I'm definitely archiving all three! May get one to use as well.

they're absolutely delicious, both the package and the lipstick itself!!! I also found myself giggling when seeing the picture. I would use it, but I'd be kinda sad when the ears would disappear on my lips, cause I'm such a cat lover! :) hugs from Italy

Nadia D'Amico - Friday Jul 16th 2010 2:00pm
How delightful!! I find myself oohing and awwing when I first laid eyes on these pics. Only a cat lover would. I wouldn't have the heart to use it either. Btw, you blog and videos are an essential part of my beauty regime. While I'm busy with kids, they keep my pro makeup artist skills sharp and up-to-date! Thank you. xxCheers, Nadia

benedettadc - Friday Jul 16th 2010 1:41pm it! ... If the product is worth the (I imagine) splurge, I confess that I will use it, maybe starting from the foot of the bullet, with a brush.... I am just imagining taking it out from the purse to apply it... priceless! :) Meow!

Very cute Lisa, this is my favourite blog, i love how you write about unusual make up items and colours. I also love your videos - beautiful but and not overdone. I would like to hear your thoughts on foundation/looks for very pale skin, maybe a video if you have time. Thanks for sharing all your knowledge with us xxxxx

Sooo cute, but yes I wouldn't want to use them for fear of spoiling the cat shape. I couldn't even eat cat shaped sweets when I was little coz I felt sorry for them! Lol xD

Marte Smith - Friday Jul 16th 2010 11:12am

Love them!

Anna Lise - Friday Jul 16th 2010 9:51am
So cute!! But I agree...I wouldn't want to use them for fear of destroying the little kitty. Archiving is a great idea.
