Nail Colour Alert

Inspired by the decidedly Autumnal weather, I took a bottle of Chanels new Autumn colour 'Paradoxal' to work with me yesterday hoping to persuade nail god David Barton (yes him from my Shellac Nails Video) to paint my nails with it.
While the lovely model was in hair he managed to get it on my nails perfectly in record time and here are the results. Its a very unusual shade of taupey, mauvey and mushroomy deep base tones shot through with bright pink and purple psycho pearl (synthetic pearl particles which have different colours on different sides).
The result is chic and edgy at the same time...which we love right?! I was hugely inspired by the Hydrangeas in Kensington gardens, were the shoot was taking place and the wonderful degradation of the colours in their 'end of the season' petals seemed the perfect frame for the nail colour.

Thank you Lisa! I've already told the girls at the counter to wait for me (will be on holiday with he hubby and I leave on the day of the launch----meh!). I think that if I love it, I will get it and Gondola can wait a bit longer for me ;) By the way, RIVIERA in the current collection is absolutely stunning. Have you given that one a shot? just so lovely & so Miami circa 1989 but with a modern twist :)

@Make-up Mole totally agree, they just seem to nail it every time without fail! x @Claudia as its quite a purple mauve base it could work well against your yellow tones. When it comes out try it out in store and then have a good look in daylight. If its right you will know straight away x

would u say this can work for dark, warm skin tones? I have yellow/olive undertones & I'm a bit afraid of trying this lovely shade a try...

@SarahHonney I know what you mean. Some colours more so than others x @Sihem it depends what base tones you have in your skin, this is very mauve so as long as you dont have too much red/purple it should look good x @Melissa its one of those shades that will go with everything x @Princess_79ify you've hit the nail on the head..thats exactly what its like. At certain angles it looks flat deep Taupe and then from another its a vibrant pearly mauve/purple! x @Jennyspicture i dont know the exact date but I know its sometime in August. Its from the Les Contrasts Collection x @Humaira hmm that would be fun! x @Janet yes it definitely looks good with whatever you wear too, neutral in a way but with a modern twist x

Love this colour! Always have to be Chic and Edgy. Not to many places sell Chanel Varnish around here in N.S. I’ll have to go to the only place I know of that does and try to be quick about it when it comes out.

What a beautiful colour! That would look amazing with MAC's vex eyeshadow which is an unusual frosty grey shade that looks different depending on what angle you look at it!

Oooo that colour is divine! @Sarahhonney, i find that they chip quite fast as well but with certain colours i just can't help myself! :D I think this will be one of these occasions.

I love the chanel colours, but I always find they Chip so fast even with base and top coat :(
